Jason Witten reveals only player who received one of his game-used jerseys Dallas Cowboys: Jason Witten gave Zach Ertz a jersey By Drew Davison ddavison@star-telegram.com 5-6 minutes Jason Witten wasn't much of a jersey swap guy during his 15-year career. It's become more and more common in recent years, but the former Dallas Cowboys tight end didn't partake. With one exception ... Witten revealed on social media Saturday that he gave away his jersey just once to Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz. "In 15 years, I gave away my jersey after a game one time," Witten wrote on his Twitter handle, @jasonwitten. "Zach Ertz earned my respect- not only one of the best all-around at the position in our game, but handles his business the right way. The impact we have on others- it matters. Best of luck to you @zertz_86."Witten was responding to one of Ertz's posts from earlier this month. Ertz, holding Witten's jersey, wrote: "When you look up the definition of Tight End, it should be a picture of this jersey and nothing else." Witten, 36, has been active on social media in recent days, thanking former teammates such as Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray for their kind words about his career. ..................................................................... Jason knows his sh*t !
