Stephen Jones doesn’t rule out Tony Romo getting Bledsoe’d theredzone.org The Dallas Cowboys are all-in with Dak Prescott, who will replace Tony Romo who fractured a vertabra last Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks. But what happens if the Prescott and the Cowboys are playing well when Romo is ready to return? Could Romo possibly lose his job to injury? Cowboys COO Stephen Jones told Peter King of MMQB, “I can’t imagine a scenario where Tony’s not our quarterback when he’s ready. But things happen. You know that. You know what happened to Bledsoe and Brady. [In 2001, Drew Bledsoe was KO’d with internal bleeding for most of the season. Unknown Tom Brady relieved him and never gave back the job.) I’m sure Tony’s aware of that. But the reality is, Tony’s going to come back for us and play great, we believe.” Of course, preseason is way different than regular season and it's too early to annoint Prescott but at least one member of the Cowboys braintrust isn't ruling it out............................................... *chuckle* *chuckle* looks like tony just became "road kill" to Stephy.
