theredzone Cowboys QB coach Wade Wilson takes personal leave Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said quarterbacks Coach Wade Wilson has taken a leave from the Dallas Cowboys to tend to personal matters, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Wilson left on Thursday and was not at practice on Friday. Garrett said he was not sure when Wilson will return to the team. “I don’t know. I don’t want to speculate on that,” vice president Stephen Jones said. “Wade has got to take care of himself. I know no one wants to be out here more than him.” Wilson’s departure comes at a time when the recent injury to backup quarterback Kellen Moore is forcing the Cowboys to accelerate the development of rookie fourth-round pick Dak Prescott and second-year man Jameill Showers. Neither has ever thrown a pass in the NFL and being looked as possible backups to starter Tony Romo. Look for Romo and offensive coodinator Scott Linehan to pick up the slack. ........................................ he's romo's qb coach as well . best wishes for him to get back on track
