i read on Twitter it was 3 years, in the neighborhood of $5 Million a year.
and the O line remains intact for next season. if Murray doesn't resign at a club friendly rate, he is an IDIOT!! he's going to make enough money to be comfortable for ever. and for his kids to be comfortable too. so the question becomes what do you want to accomplish in the game. could he ask for a better situation? i think not.

it looks as though murray didn't agree with you Ark . he opted for greener pastures
....Gil Brandt, former vice president for the Dallas Cowboys and current NFL.com analyst, tweeted: “I’m not exactly sure what Chip Kelly is doing, but I do know this: He’s one of the smartest football men I’ve known.”

You paid murry 8.2 million a year for real but you let shady walk and you think that's a win? I dont ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eagles replace LeSean McCoy with 4 players ... in terms of salary cap space

Eagles fans still upset over the new look of the team, or the fact that some of their favorite players are gone, have to be realistic.
Start with the departure of the franchise's all-time leading running back, LeSean McCoy.
If the Eagles kept McCoy, and he didn't restructure his contract, he would have counted $11.8 million against the team's salary cap.
By trading him to Buffalo for linebacker Kiko Alonso, who will count a paltry $795,000 against the cap, the Eagles were also able to add three more players, two at McCoy's position for the same price.
According to the salary cap numbers recently released, free agent running back addition DeMarco Murray will count $5 million against the Eagles' cap; and fellow free agent running back Ryan Matthews will count $2 million against the cap. Throw in Alonso and cornerback Walter Thurmond ($3.25 million) and the four players added combine for $11.05 million.
Now, on the other side the team did spend big for cornerback Byron Maxwell and quarterback Sam Bradford, who together will count over $20 million against the cap. But that money came from a number of resources; not re-signing wide receiver Jeremy Maclin; releasing veterans Todd Heremans, Trent Cole and James Casey; and the money the team carried over from last year's cap.
wadda ya think pross ?

Dallas ran Murrays wheels off last year with nearly 500 carries, and the Chipster goes and spends 8.2 on another down hill runner. Murray is best when he runs for four quarters, he is a banger that wears out a defense. Chip will use a committee backfield with Murray, Mathews, and Sproles, and other than Sproles, this approach will hinder both Murray and Mathews.
