Sensabaugh wants long term deal
Sensabaugh Wants A Long-Term Deal Posted by jellis at 1/18/2010 11:30 AM CST on truebluefanclub.com
It doesn't take long for the focus to shift when the season's over. The players clean out there lockers, meet one final time, take their exit physicals - and just like that, they're out the door for a couple months.
For the organization, thoughts quickly turn to the business of making 2010 end better. One decision the Cowboys have to make is what to do with safety Gerald Sensabaugh.
Sensabaugh signed a one-year deal last spring, betting on himself that his impact would earn him more security with a longer contract. With the league's unknown financial future, though, Sensabaugh will be a restricted free agent.
The Cowboys could offer him a one-year tender, then have the right to match an offer from another team wanting to sign him. Sensabaugh is hoping for something more permanent here, though.
"I don't want to play the market," Sensabaugh said. "I would love to be here in Dallas. Hopefully we can get something worked out. I don't want to go anywhere else, but I don't want to do another one-year contract, either."
Sensabaugh believes he is a good fit with the Cowboys.
"I felt this system plays well into my style of play," he said. "I thought that I was able to be effective this year, and I had a great time."

he is the best we have had in a while, but he was bad vs the ViQueens. a fat contract did not improve hamlin's game. but since we can't sign FA's...

we can if they are released from a exitiing contract. Though I like sensabaugh, and would rather keep him for a fair price. Prossman
